We have four wonderful children who have enriched my life in so many ways. (They have also aged me in a way that shocks even me sometimes!) Their energy is boundless, their days are filled with laughter and their love for life is real and deep. I have a lot to learn from them.
I have a solid "appreciation" for a 44 oz. diet coke with good ice and a straw. I am proud to say that the employee at my local 7-11 recognizes me when I show up for my daily refill....I sort of love that he treats me a little differently than the other customers in the store.
I love politics, I used to speak German fluently (I like to think that it is tucked away safely in my brain somewhere?), I am the second of eight amazing siblings, I love to travel, I love my electric blanket, I love a clean house, I adore my parents (I talk to my mom almost every day), I love lunch with girls who have been my friends for 20+ years and I am a sucker for good summer tan.
It is a crazy time in my life, but I try to remind myself that everyday is a gift, that joy is to be experienced daily and laughter is a must. This blog started as a way for my loved ones in different states, to catch a glimpse of our new lives in Denver, Colorado, but it is slowly evolving into a deep self reflection helping me to better understand and appreciate the daily joys in my life.
